FEU Diliman Junior Marketing Association Brings Inspiration to Orphans

Posted: 2019-01-16

The FEU Diliman Junior Marketing Association (JMA), headed by its president, Carl Intal, held their annual charity event at the Manila Boys Town Complex in Marikina City on Feb. 15.

Dubbed Hatid Namin ay Saya at Pag-asa, the program aims to inspire orphaned children to continue reaching for their dreams despite their circumstances.

Carl believes that even the simplest act of spending time and talking to each of the children could make a difference in their lives.

We feel that they are longing for the love of siblings and parents. So, even if we are not related by blood, we wanted them to feel ”even for a short period of time” that we sincerely care for them, he said.

For Carl, organizing charity events is significant because it helps them become better persons by reaching out to different kinds of people and inspiring them to dream.

I’m imagining what it would be like if each organization in every university will organize charity events. How many lives can we collectively change? As a young student leader, the passion to help other people is a remarkable path that everyone should walk their way into, he said.
