FEU Diliman helped me become an excellent student and a servant leader.
This excellence in academics and leadership was recognized by the Ten Outstanding
Students of the Philippines-NCR (TOSP-NCR) and included Remy Manuel C. Pendon as one of 2019's
Regional NCR finalists.
Pendon, Bachelor of Science in Accountancy graduate and Cum Laude, carries a passion for education
and dreams of becoming an accounting professor one day. As a future CPA and educator, I want to
help others achieve their goals while teaching them the importance of integrity and honesty.
In an era of corruption and fraud, we need integrity. He credits FEU Diliman for making him
realize how powerful education can be and how it must be used for the betterment of the community and country.
A consistent Dean's Lister, Pendon has gained leadership experience as well. He has led various student
organizations in and off campus notably as President of the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants
(JPIA-FEU Diliman chapter) and as Regional Vice President for Audit of the National Federation of Junior
Philippine Institute of Accountants National Capital Region (NFJPIA-NCR). He admits that both positions
posed different challenges but his passion made him persevere. I was driven, not because of pressure,
but by passion and love that I have for my course and organizations.
Pendon is now preparing for the October 2019 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) board examination and later
on plans to pursue a law degree.
